IMC Pan Asia Alliance hosted close to 40 master’s students and professors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 4 April at our office in Springleaf Tower.

The Masters of Science program in CUHK is ranked 4th in Asia, and these students represented specialisations in Business Analytics, Information and Technology Management, Marketing, Finance and Real Estate descended upon IMC with a barrage of questions related to Data Analytics, AI, Investment Strategy, and even Mindfulness. Many of the students were seasoned working professionals, who were taking time to sharpen their saws in their areas of specialisation.

Our representatives to handle this barrage of questions were, Niap, James and Kenneth, who hosted the group, led by Professor Cheung Wai Mun, Professor of the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics and Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School. Currently, he is also the Co-Executive Director of The Asia-Pacific Institute of Business, Director of Asian Institute of Supply Chains & Logistics, Director of Centre of Cyber Logistics, Director of Studies in Graduate Studies in Business and Head, Graduate Division of Business Administration.

The takeaways were apparent from both parties, as IMC reaches out to partners and institutes of higher learning in our journey of well-being transformation and becoming an organisation that relies on big data and analytics for better decision-making, while the students had a clear taste of how the well-being mandate had successfully enriched IMC colleagues.

Dr. Kenneth Tan said: “As part of OCTAVE Institute’s (Singapore) mandate to transform businesses, this is the start of many learning collaborations for IMC and institutes of higher learning for knowledge exchange and networking. We believe that in the journey of ‘I’ to ‘We’, we must continue to embrace learning and collaborations so that we can truly create and innovate.”

The visit ended with the most important segment, the Mindfulness sharing and activity conducted by our very own Lead Practitioner, Stanley. This is a testament to IMC living out our true intentions of uniting the world by elevating consciousness through Mindfulness Practice.
