At the Family Office Forum’s Fireside Chat organised by Prestel and Partner on 16 May 2023, our Chairman shared that the purpose of our businesses cannot be to drive profit at all costs if they are to thrive in the future.
Family businesses influence most of the global GDP, and those that wish to thrive in successive generations have a long-term orientation and alignment of sustainability and must own this effort globally. This speaks to the vision that our Chairman is creating within IMC, where we should support and manifest an environment that enables our individual and collective well-being to thrive.
In the fireside chat session with Cindy Ko, Head of APAC from Toniic, our Chairman highlighted the potential for businesses to integrate both profit and purpose in a highly fractionalised world. The discourse emphasised the importance of changing our mindset and seeking positive initiatives alongside harm reduction, and that this transformative journey can contribute to improving humanity’s well-being and happiness.
