Dr. Kenneth Tan, Deputy Executive Director of OCTAVE Institute, represented IMC and OCTAVE Institute at the 2nd Conference on Education, Arts, and the Humanities organised by the International Academic Forum (IAFOR) and attended by over 400 delegates from 66 countries.
His presentation focused on the Impact of the Mindfulness Living Program for Working Professionals, highlighting the case study of IMC. The session received positive feedback from audience members, expressing interest in incorporating mindfulness practices in universities and workplaces:
“Amazing sharing by Kenneth on Mindfulness and its impact in IMC. We do need mindfulnesses programs in universities and workplaces and will be open to learning more from OCTAVE Institute and perhaps collaborate in the future,” said Professor Elizabeth Childs, Professor and Program Head, Royal Roads University, Canada.
“Based on the sharing and results, our teachers and administrators will benefit greatly from measuring the impact of incorporating mindfulness practices into our curriculum,” said Janesa Pal, Representative, PAL Buddhist School, NSW Australia.
As an IAFOR Senior Reviewer, Kenneth was part of a review committee that was instrumental in selecting presentations for the conference. He also successfully chaired a conference session on “Professional Training, Developments and Concerns in Education”. Kenneth will be submitting the impact paper and case study for publishing in the conference journal.
“OCTAVE Institute, through such opportunities and collaborations, will continue to drive the mindfulness and consciousness shift agenda for IMC and other family businesses,” said Kenneth. “We will also continue to use impact research to measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of developing quantum leaders and professionals, and to showcase OCTAVE Institute as a thought leader in this field.”
